Hello everybody.

Since 1995 I am in El Gouna, the place did grow, became more beautifull, but also ofcourse as a result, more cars and more drivers.

In all these years I did not have any accident here in El Gouna, not because the drivers could realy drive, no, more because I always went on the side, and let them pass.
This I also did when a 24 tons truck came against the direction on the round-about close to the hospital, I went completely to the side and stoped, suprise, one car hits me in the back.

Luckely I was close to the hospital as I realy needed it, small fracture in one of the spines of my neck as result of the hit in the back.

I took the following action.
I reported the accident at the tourist police, both the truck-driver and the driver who did hit me in the back, where saying the wellknown "malesh", hoping that I would drop the charges.
Well me from my side, I will proceed untill the very end, "malesh" for these 2 persons but the already did stand in front of court and the thing is still not finished.
I ordered my lawyer to get the maximum out of the fact that these 2 persons did risk my safety that day by their irresponsible way of driving, it will take time, but they will face the consequences.

Me from my side I advice anybody who gets involved in an accident in El Gouna, or anywhere in Egypt, to file charges and to proceed in any form of legal way against this way of irresponsible driving.

As for Orascom, there are better ways to prevent dangerous situations on the roads in El Gouna, which will for sure work, want some advices, feel free to contact me, I am very willing to help.

Wish every-one all the best, take care on the roads.

Firstly I really enjoy reading the El Gouna Times and look forward to logging on every morning to see the updated stories.

With regard to the traffic, because I spend most of my time lounging about on the beach or only venturing out when its quieter when I have been there, it was quite a surprise to me to see so much traffic on the roads.

Is there a set traffic speed. 20 mph would be good. If there is not one, perhaps the residents could pressure Orascom to set one.

Keep up the good work. Jenny.
