Higher Security
Since the attacks of Sharm el Sheik we’ve noticed more checkpoints and fortifications at the hotels and at some strategic traffic points in El Gouna.
Those last days, we’ve seen more often Security Personal in El Gouna checking even walking people Down Town and in the Marina.
As an explanation, today, Orascom Hotels and Development, the company that manages El Gouna, distributed a note to all the residents with following text:
“…Dear El Gouna Residents,
in view of the current security situation in the country and the necessary measures that should be taken to safeguard the lives and property of all nationals and visitors alike, Security Personal are tightening up their checks, including stopping guests and owners and checking their ID’s, which will kindly require the availability of your driving license and the car license.
For Security reasons, the security Guards are doing their jobs for your sake and in order to ensure your personal safety as well as the safety of your belongings.
In the mean time, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvience that these temporary measures may cause.
