International Clean up day
Through a slip in the space / time continuum the 17th disappeared without trace and the clean-up didn’t happen, so on the 22nd of September 3 of the oldest diving centres in El Gouna The Dive Tribe, TGI, and Blue Brothers arranged a clean -up on Gobal Island at on of the dive sites we use, 4 boats took part with over 70 guests plus staff from the centres, the site really benefited from the clean-up with items such as a Toilet, a sink, a live bullet!, a broken magic carpet and a colander….
The evening saw a presentation of participant certificates and prizes for the most garbage collected and the most funny item from each centre, the Pair of socks, the Collander and a wire sculpture of a Giraffe won prizes for the finders, the winner for The Dive Tribe was no less than the wildlife tv presenter Steve Leonard who was enjoying a week at the Tribe with his brother Tom and their lady Friends, he certainly had not expected to be collecting garbage when he arrived.
