New: Upstairs… first class dining in El Gouna

Another restaurant has opened last week in El Gouna Downtown: Upstairs.

Next to Karaoke Bar La Palma, on top of the Highlander Bar, so litteral “upstairs”, a new restaurant has been opened. After having heard about Upstairs from one of our readers, we went to check it out ourselves last week.

Our first impression: very cosy and european, stylish interior, excellent service by a staff of 8, superbe cuisine: Walter from Sweden and Alex from Norway in the kitchen guarantee a mix from Scandinavian and European dishes. The winecard contains exquisite wines from France, Italy and Egypt.

We predict this restaurant will become the number one for fine dining, topping anything else in El Gouna. Not for every day’s meal, but if you want to celebrate a special occasion, than this is the place to be!

Pricetag for a diner for 3 (soup, entree, main course, dessert, coffee) will add up to about 800 LE, without alcoholic drinks (owners cards get discount).
