What’s up in Tamr Henna?
First, we noticed white paint marks on the road. The rumour said something about a new bus station. Then, construction workers appeared and started putting up metal frames. In no time, the whole square was cordoned off by palisades. Curious tourists had hoped for a Bedouin feast of some sort but the reality isn’t that exotic: they are just building new shops.
In the meantime, the traffic is diverted behind the pharmacy building and the shuttle bus station has been moved on the El Gouna Limousine side behind the trees. We heard that there was a plan to extend Best Way supermarket and that the whole piazza will remain pedestrian. But, while still waiting to see a sketch on paper, we will keep you updated about whatever emerges from the ground…
