Sunexpress and FTI flights from Germany to El Gouna continu

Some European airlines suspended their flights to Egypt in August 2013, but and do continu their flights from Germany to Hurghada. I will be back in El Gouna from August 28th till September 12th, 2013. WiFi and doing business in El Gouna

With the increased use of smartphones like Android, iPhone and tablets like the popular Ipad, every day more tourists use social networks like FaceBook, TripAdvisor and Foursquare or daily digital photoalbums like Flickr and TripColor while they are enjoying their vacation trip. Also in El Gouna! But roaming costs to the Internet can be very expensive. Free WiFi is appreciated! Therefor local businesses should not underestimate the added value of offering WiFi access in their shop, cafe or restaurant for free to their customers. Because if people like the place, or the service or the prices, they will write down […]

Hubert says Goodbye…

I’ve been urged to stop my activities as editor of the El Gouna Times for the sake of my health. Therefore, I’m sorry to announce that the El Gouna Times Online Magazine will be no longer updated and our forum has been removed from this website. The last two years I’ve spend nearly 10 months in El Gouna. And like many others, I felt in love with this special resort. During this time, I’ve met a lot of wonderful passionate people in El Gouna who are willing to let you feel at home and make your holidays to an unforgettable […]

Le Deauville

Dining in Le Deauville at Abu Tig Marina is always a good experience. It’s the restaurant where the menu is written on a large blackboard standing along the sidewalk and the staff will carry it to your table. Last time we were there, we had the Crevettes with salad and rice, in a Pernod sauce. Delicious. From your table you have one of the widest views onto the marina(s) with the beautiful yachts. The staff at the Deauville is always very friendly and our compliments certainly go to the chef! Prices are above El Gouna standards, but the food rewards […]

New Section Dutch Travel reports

A new category “Nederlandse Reisverslagen” with about 20 recent articles has been added for the flemish and dutch speaking readers of the El Gouna Times in the last couple of weeks. After all, the dutch speaking community represents an astonishing 17% of our readers who were willing to express their preferred language in our poll (here at the right side in the menu). To prevent that english speaking readers would be confused I’ve put those travelreports in dutch language always at the bottom of the page, so after the english based articles, if any english based article has been published […]
